Summer with Yui and Ritsu - K-ON

Hello,

This wallpaper was created for Wallpaper Games - 2: Match 05: Geometry. Created by my -at the time- Co. Admin. -now Mod.- Mirtillo. Always has great contest ideas.

This wallpaper's original idea was to have someone laying on a beach blanket and using normal objects as the 'geometry' shapes required in the Match. And I'm not sure why it was to be a beach and summer wall since I started this process in the spring at least. Anyways, I couldn't find an image I that would work for that original idea and at the time I had not yet seen, K-ON!. But I had seen School Rumble.

So, I was searching out School Rumble images and then thought what about K-ON!. So, I started another image search of which was starting to get tiresome. I came across this image on "Anime Vice" - [was] a place for anime info and had screen caps.

And by now my 'modern' idea of 'geometry in real life' went so by the wayside. Plus, I had done many serious walls before working on this wallpaper. So, with the K-ON! image the silly, crazy, fun side came out.

So, with the image in the vector process. I combined my original idea and the new crazy fun idea and ended up with what you see before you.

Granted, not all the crazy fun ideas came from me. Like the 'checkerboard' clouds. That idea came from 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' Season 3 - Ep. 13; "Magical Mystery Cure". Ep. Image Gallery.

And The sun isn't that much of an original idea but works so well with this wall.

Now, the sand castle is my design. As is the blanket, the little boat -just love that little boat- as well as the floating beach ball, and the palm tree. The idea for the palm tree came way after because it was suppose to of been an umbrella but it just was weird.

The flags on the castle came at the end. Like the speech bubbles. Though the speech bubbles were in the combined design and if you ask me they totally complete the wall. Totally, completes it.

So, that's about all I can tell about the wall. It was all in the details and colors in the end. Was one of the funniest walls I've done to date. And I hope you enjoy the silly, crazy, and fun of this wall!

Oh, and I just realized, this is my first Swimsuit wallpaper, too.
